Howl's Moving Castle still manages to move me! The setting, the music, the characters...

One thing that has fascinated me was that flying castle towards the end. I always wondered what it would be like to live in that flying deathtrap.

4 hr, Photoshop, 'twas a challenge to paint this.

A pirate walks into a bar. The bartender notices he has a steering wheel sticking out of his trousers and asks, “Hey, buddy, doesn’t that thing hurt?”
“Yarrrr!" the pirate replies,"It’s drivin’ me nuts!”
Gah! This needs more comments and faves. Although that movie isn't my fave, I do LOVE the art direction, and this is a wonderful interpretation. The soft colours of the rolling hills, the way everything flows into each other as if painted...wonderful! :)

As for crit, is it missing a shadow? Or is that off-screen? Just wondering, as that stood out to me ^^;

oh hey there. thanks. I really appreciate your input. I think I made the mistake of not adding a more defined shadow to show off the scale of the castle, but in the end, its all good practice.
